In January 1989, EyeCare Consultants began in Evansville, Indiana, with the mission of partnering with optometrists to provide the highest quality eye care. The practice grew quickly and a surgery center was added in 1997.
Five years after EyeCare Consultants opened its doors, Walter H. Egenmaier, O.D., joined in January 1993, bringing with him valuable instructional communication skills. Next to join the team was Matthew M. Boyer, M.D., who started working at the surgery center in May 2002. To round out the services provided by EyeCare Consultants, Christopher Ambrose, O.D., joined the practice in 2019 with special interests in treating glaucoma, ocular disease and dry eye.
